FAQs
FAQs
IS IT TIME CONSUMING?
It’s only takes about 10 minutes of hands-on time and should last you weeks! (exact directions will be included with your kit)
WHAT OTHER MATERIALS DO I NEED?
All it takes to make your syrup is some boiled water, some time, a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, some liquid sweetener of choice, and a container to store it in.
HOW MUCH SYRUP DOES IT MAKE / HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
Each kit will create about 24-28 ounces of syrup (depending on how much you reduce it while cooking and how much liquid sweetener you add.) Freshness depends on how it is stored, but should ideally be consumed within 6 weeks. To prolong its shelf-life, you can freeze some syrup for later use. I like to freeze some elderberry syrup in an ice cube tray to have on hand if someone falls sick and I don’t have a kit on hand! *note* if you don’t plan on using the kit within about a month or 2, I recommend storing it in the freezer until ready to use. It just ensures that the plants stay fresh.
